Welcome to Walter Looser AG

Walter Looser AG was founded in Zurich in 1929. Since then, the company has focused mainly on the bronze material, its manufacture, machining and countless fields of application. Today, the company is a highly efficient supplier of bronzes and plain bearings with an extensive range available from stock.

Finished products

We supply the following plain bearings for countless applications:

Métafram BP 25 / FP 20

Métafram sintered bearings are porous, lubricant-containing plain bearings made of bronze BP 25 or iron FP 20. The rotating shaft removes lubricating oil from the pores by means of a suction effect. After the shaft has stopped and cooled down, this is then sucked back into the bushing by way of capillary action. As the oil cannot be lost through circulation during rotary movements, Métafram bearings are self-lubricating.

Wieland-B09

Wieland-B09 rolled bushings are made of wrought material CuSn8 and, despite their thin-walled construction, can withstand very high loads. Hence these bearings are predestined for swing bearings (oscillating motion), the most common use for rolled Wieland bushings.

The excellent tin bronze material gives the bushings excellent sliding properties and high wear resistance.

Wieland rolled bushings are used, on the one hand, in standardised dimensions with lubrication pockets. The advantage of this type of bushing is that it can be shortened to any desired length.

We also offer special designs and sizes according to your specifications.

Looser bearing LG 41

Looser bearing 41 are ready-to-install bushings made of Looser Bronze 50 (CuSn7Zn4Pb7-C-GC / GZ DIN EN 1982). We stock approximately 180 sizes as cylinder and flange bushings. The seawater-resistant plain bearings have good sliding properties and high wear resistance. The bearings are suitable for oil or grease lubrication.
